Primary text
It is permissible for any Muslim to bring out a Muslim woman or girl who seeks to leave the custody of non-believers. This ruling is supported by the narration that when the Prophet, peace be upon him, emigrated from Mecca, the daughter of Hamza stopped him on the road. When Ali took her, he entrusted her to Fatima until they arrived in Medina.
