Must a leader show favoritism towards those who share his school of jurisprudence (madhhab) or lineage?

The Amir must not favor those who agree with him in religious school or lineage over those who dissent in these matters. Favoritism risks breaking the hearts of the dissenters, which could lead them to fail the Amir when he needs them.
