Primary text
A man who fights in a raid without the permission of his parents or without the permission of his creditor is entitled to a share of the spoils. This entitlement arises because jihad becomes obligatory upon him when he is present in the battle line, meaning he is no longer considered disobedient in that context, unlike the status of a slave.
