What is the obligation regarding adherence to a concluded truce agreement?

Adherence to the concluded truce is obligatory based on the command of Allah: O you who have believed, fulfill all contracts (Quran 5:1). Furthermore, fulfill their covenant to them for their specified term (Quran 9:4). Adherence is also necessary because if it is not honored, trust in the Imam’s contracts will cease, whereas entering such pacts may become necessary.
