Primary text

Animals dedicated for public use in Jihad must not be ridden for personal needs. They may only be ridden and used for the cause of Allah. They should not be ridden within cities and villages. It is disliked to use such a horse to parade a *ramak* (a young horse or animal destined for breeding). The share of the consecrated horse belongs to the one who campaigns upon it. If the Imam intends to purchase a warhorse, it is recommended he buys it from outside the frontier to ease the burden on the people of the frontier concerning procurement.

Supporting text

If a consecrated horse becomes unfit for campaigning due to defect, it is sold, and its price is used to acquire a replacement or spent on maintaining other consecrated animals.
