Must the property of a slave who commits misappropriation be burned?

The property of a slave who commits misappropriation shall not be burned because the property belongs to his master. Therefore, the master is not punished for the transgression of his slave. However, if the slave consumes what he misappropriated, he remains liable for its value because it is due to his own act.
