What provisions are required when Jihad takes place over a distance where prayer is not shortened?

If the Jihad involves a distance where prayer is not shortened, the Mujahid must possess sufficient provisions (Zad) and the sustenance for his dependents during his absence, along with the weapons for fighting. A riding animal (Rahilah) is not considered mandatory because it is considered a short journey.
