What is the requirement for a soldier to leave the military camp during campaigns?

Primary text
A soldier is not permitted to engage in personal activities, such as gathering fodder for animals or collecting firewood, or any other matter, outside of the camp without the permission of the Amir (commander). This ruling is derived from the divine statement: 'Only those who believe in Allah and His Messenger... and when they are with him on some collective matter, they do not depart until they seek his permission' (Quran 24:62). Furthermore, the Amir has superior knowledge regarding the state of the people, the enemy, their hidden positions, and their proximity. Departing without permission risks ambush by the enemy or falling in with enemy scouts. Permission ensures the Amir only allows departure to safe locations, potentially sending guards along.
