What is the rule regarding spoils when two separate armies or raiding parties depart from the land of Islam?

If two armies or two raiding parties depart from the land of Islam, each group separately keeps what it captures, because each group acted independently in the invasion and thus separately in the spoils, unlike when the entire army departs together into enemy lands, where all share in the Jihad and the spoils.
