What is the ruling on the division of spoils (*ghanimah*) taken during Jihad without a ruling Imam?

If spoils are obtained, the people possessing them must divide them according to the stipulations of the Sharia. However, the Judge states that the division of female captives (*imā’*) must be postponed until an Imam is established as a precaution to protect their chastity (furooj).
