What is the ruling if non-Muslim guardians convert and then forbid their son from continuing a Jihad he had already started with their prior permission?

If the guardians were non-believers, then embraced Islam, and subsequently forbade the individual, the ruling is the same as if they had forbidden him after granting permission.
