It is permissible for the Imam to first grant a general *nafl* (extra share) to the entire raiding party (*sarriyah*), and then, on the day of fighting, announce specific incentives, such as one head of livestock for every ten heads brought in, to motivate the soldiers. This is permissible as long as the total amount distributed in *nafl* does not exceed one-third of the spoils.

It is permissible to grant two distinct forms of *nafl* for the same item or endeavor, provided that the total sum granted as extra shares does not exhaust one-third of the spoils.
