Primary text

If the portion adhering to the truce cannot separate from the violators, their covenant is not considered broken, akin to the status of a captive. If the Imam captures some of them and a captive claims innocence regarding the breach, and the matter is unclear, the captive's claim is accepted because establishing their involvement can only be achieved through their own testimony.
