What is the ruling on the spoils taken by a raiding party sent out while the main commander remains in the land of Islam?

If the commander remains in a land of Islam and sends out a raiding party or army, whatever the raiding party captures belongs solely to them, as only those actively engaged in Jihad share in the spoils, and one remaining in the land of Islam is not considered a mujahid in that context.
