Primary text

One is advised to adhere to Mount Al-Khamr, which is the land of the Gathering (Ard Al-Hashr). Furthermore, there is mention of a cemetery in the enemy's land called Ashkelon. Allah will raise seventy thousand martyrs from there, and a man will intercede for the number of people equal to Rabi'a and Mudar. Every bridegroom (of the martyrs) will have the brides of Paradise in Ashkelon.

A scholar named 'Ata al-Khorasani made it a practice to guard (ribat) in Ashkelon for forty days every year until his death, based on a report that the Prophet, peace be upon him, prayed three times for the people of that cemetery.
