If the illness prevents the warrior from being counted among those capable of fighting, such as the permanently disabled, lame, or paralyzed, he receives no share as he is no longer counted among the fighters. However, if the illness does not disqualify him from the fighting category, such as fever or headache, a share is assigned to him because he is counted among the combatants, offering support through counsel, increasing numbers, and supplication.
