Primary text
If only those excluded from the standard share, such as slaves or boys who entered enemy territory and seized spoils, take the war bounty, one-fifth is taken from the total, and the remainder is given to them. Alternatively, the remainder is to be divided among them with the cavalryman receiving three shares and the foot soldier one share, as they are considered equal, similar to free men. A third possibility is that the distribution is made according to the Imam's judgment regarding preference, as equality is not required among them when they join others, so it is not required when they act alone.
