Is taking one's specific wife on campaign permissible?

The Prophet (PBUH) taking one specific wife by lot, such as Aisha, on campaign multiple times is an exception permitted for that individual due to his need for her, and a similar allowance may be granted to a ruler (Amir) when in need, but it is not permitted for the general populace, lest it lead to the previously mentioned harms.
