Does a warrior lose their right to a share of the spoils if they flee after the spoils have already been secured?
General Chapter
Al-Mughni
Book of Jihad
Primary text
If a warrior flees after the spoils have already been secured, their right to a share is not invalidated. This is because they attained ownership of the spoils through the act of securing them, and their subsequent flight does not nullify that established ownership.
