Primary text

If a non-Muslim falls ill or dies within the Haram, he must be removed and is not to be buried there, as the sanctity of the Haram supersedes the need for burial within it. If he dies, his body must be exhumed and removed unless his removal becomes exceptionally difficult due to decomposition or fragmentation.

Supporting text

The ruling differs from the Hijaz because removal from the Haram is easy due to the proximity of the non-sanctuary area (al-Hill), whereas removal from the Hijaz in illness might be impossible or extremely difficult.
