Is a non-Muslim trader permitted to remain in Hijaz to collect a deferred debt?

If the debt is deferred (*mu'ajjal*), the trader is not permitted to remain. Instead, an agent should be appointed to collect it on their behalf, because the deferment was due to the trader's own prior arrangement or concession.
