The ruling for a covenant member who commits an offense less severe than those that nullify the treaty.

In cases where the covenant is not nullified, if he commits an act for which a prescribed punishment (Hadd) or retribution (Qisas) is due, that punishment is enforced. If the act does not mandate a Hadd, he is disciplined (Ta'zir) to deter similar behavior.
