Book of Jizya
Primary text
The public exhibition of perceived wrongdoing is forbidden, encompassing five categories: establishing new churches or similar structures; raising their voices while reciting their holy books among Muslims; publicly displaying intoxicants (alcohol/wine) or pigs; sounding bells (nāqūs); building structures taller than those of Muslims; and residing in the Ḥijāz or entering the Ḥaram (sacred precincts). These prohibitions are obligatory upon them regardless of whether they were explicitly stipulated in the agreement or not.
