Primary text
If hospitality is stipulated, the days of hospitality, and the number of foot soldiers and horsemen to be hosted, must be specified, detailing the amount of bread, side dishes, fodder for the horses, and barley. However, stipulating hospitality generally is valid based on the practice of 'Umar, who stipulated hospitality upon the passing Muslims without specifying a number or measure.
