How should a testimony involving different currencies be interpreted?
General Chapter

Book of Judicial Rulings
Primary text
When testimony is given specifying two distinct currencies, such as one thousand dirhams and one hundred dinars, the ruling is that the testimony applies to the dirhams and dinars prevalent in that specific locality. This ruling is supported by Ahmad. The justification for allowing the general contract to be interpreted this way also permits the testimony to be interpreted this way.
