Primary text
If a claimant petitions against a deposed judge, the judge shall not be summoned until the court ascertains the nature of the claim, as a measure to protect the judge from humiliation. If the claim involves a right concerning debt or usurpation (ghasb), the judge must be summoned, and judgment passed between the parties as with any other defendant. Similarly, if the claimant alleges the judge accepted a bribe for a ruling, the judge must be summoned because accepting a bribe for judging is forbidden and thus treated like usurpation.
