Primary text

It is recommended (*yustahabb*) that scholars from every school of jurisprudence be present at the session of the presiding judge or authority. This is done so that if an issue arises, the presiding authority may inquire about it from them, leading them to mention their evidences and their responses concerning the matter. This expedites the presiding authority's independent reasoning (*ijtihad*) and brings it closer to correctness.
