Primary text
If the testimony is sound and the judge confirms the witnesses' integrity, the judge informs the defendant, 'They have testified against you; if you have anything to discredit their testimony, present it to me.' If the defendant requests a delay to investigate, a delay of two or three days is granted. If no grounds for invalidation are found, the judge rules against the defendant, as the right has been clearly established.
