Primary text
The recipient of the right is not obligated to hand over the document that proves the right once the claim has been satisfied, such as a document proving a debt that has been paid or a deed for property that has been sold. This is because the document is the property of the recipient. Furthermore, if the funds received were later proven to be rightfully owned by another, the recipient would need the document to reclaim those funds, thus returning the money to his own estate.
