Primary text
When documenting the affirmation of an imprisoned captive, the record must state that the enemies (the Franks) captured him at a specific location and time, that he remains under their custody, that he is a poor Muslim possessing nothing, unable to ransom himself, and thus qualified to receive Zakat, in accordance with the attached memorandum. When establishing a debt, the document must state that a specific, currently due, obligatory debt is owed by the debtor (with full lineage description) and that the creditor is entitled to claim and recover it. When establishing ownership of a specific item in another's possession, the document must describe the item distinctly, confirming the rightful owner's entitlement to take and receive it, based on the attached memorandum.
