If the judge chooses to write the record, it must state: The Judge [Name], son of [Name], Judge of the Commander of the Faithful [Name], ruled concerning such and such. If it is the judge's deputy, it must state: The Deputy Judge [Name], son of [Name], [subordinate to] the Judge of the Commander of the Faithful at his sitting of judgment. If the claimant and defendant are known by their names and lineages, they must be identified as [Name] son of [Name] and the opposing party as [Name] son of [Name], with their lineage traced until they are distinct. It is recommended to mention their physical descriptions, though omitting them is permissible if the lineage tracing is sufficient to distinguish them.
