Whose word is accepted if a claimant alleges a deposed judge unlawfully took property from his possession?

If the claim is that the deposed judge unlawfully took an item from the claimant's possession, the judge's word is accepted without an oath. His statement regarding the property shall be upheld for the benefit of the person ruled in favor of, as will be detailed later.
