Is a Khul' (dissolution in exchange for compensation) valid when contracted by a female slave (Ammah)?

Khul' concerning a female slave is valid, whether it is with the permission of her master or without his permission. This is analogous to the validity of Khul' with a free woman; it constitutes a final divorce against a consideration.
