Primary text

The separation (bainuna) is established. The statement of the woman is accepted regarding the negation of compensation upon herself because she denies owing it. If the wife admits, 'Yes, but my father guaranteed it for you,' the one thousand becomes obligatory upon her due to her admission of the compensation, and the guarantee does not absolve her liability.

Similarly, if she says, 'I divorced you for one thousand which my father will pay you,' her statement is accepted regarding the thousand owed by her, but her claim against her father is considered a separate matter concerning him, not herself.
