What is the consequence of dissolution after the term of the lease has expired or partially passed following a rent dispute?

If the contract is dissolved after the period or any portion of it has passed due to disagreement over the rent, the stipulated rent (al-musamma) is dropped, and the fair market rent (ajr al-mithl) becomes obligatory, following the precedent set in disputes over the sold item after its destruction.
