Primary text

The lessee is responsible for anything beyond the basic preparation, such as the Mahmal (palanquin for women), the Maharah (another type of covering or seat), the rope used to tie two palanquins or coverings together, and the padding placed beneath the palanquin frame (Hadaajah). These items are considered to be for the benefit of the specific seating arrangement (Mahmal) rather than the animal itself.
