Is it necessary to specify the duration of travel when the destination dictates the route?

When a hiring contract (Ikra') specifies travel to Mecca or a route where the pace of travel is not subject to the will of the hirers, specifying the duration of travel is unnecessary because it is neither within their control nor determinable by them.
