It is permissible for a teacher to accept a wage for teaching a child handwriting (Khatt) and memorization of the Qur'an, provided the giver intends the payment for the teaching and memorization. This is permissible because teaching these skills individually warrants compensation, and thus combining them remains permissible, similar to other matters where hiring is allowed.
