Is it permissible to hire someone to extract a tooth?

It is permissible to hire someone to extract a tooth because it constitutes a permissible and intended benefit (*manfa'ah mubah maqsoodah*), thus making hiring for that action lawful, similar to circumcision. If the person hired makes a mistake and extracts the wrong tooth from what was specified, the extractor is liable (*damin*) because it is considered an act of injury (*janayah*) on their part.
