It is permissible to hire someone for harvesting one's crops. There is no known disagreement among the scholars regarding this matter. Ibrahim ibn Adham used to hire himself out for harvesting crops. The agreement can be stipulated either by a specified duration or by a specific amount of work, such as contracting for the harvest of a particular field. Furthermore, it is permissible to hire a person to irrigate, weed, thresh, and transport one's crops to a specified location.
