What items are permissible to be rented out (ejara)?

Every object whose permissible use (manfa'ah) can be obtained while its substance remains intact is permissible to rent. This includes land, houses, slaves, animals, garments, tents, ropes, saddles, bridles, swords, spears, and similar items. This ruling is established generally for anything yielding permissible, intended use while the object itself remains.
