The permissibility of *Ijarah* (leasing or hiring) is established by the Quran, the Sunnah, and scholarly consensus (*Ijma*). Evidence from the Quran includes the verse stating, "So if they give suck for you, then give them their wages" (Quran 65:6). Further support is found where Pharaoh's daughter requested to hire a strong and trustworthy man (Quran 28:26), and the subsequent agreement for service in exchange for wages (Quran 28:27). Another verse indicates permissibility of accepting wages for performing an action: "They found a wall about to collapse, so he repaired it. He said, 'If you wished, you could have taken for it a payment'" (Quran 18:77). Evidence from the Sunnah includes the established report that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and Abu Bakr hired a guide from Bani Ad-Dil. Furthermore, the Hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah states that Allah declares three persons as His adversaries on the Day of Judgment, one of whom is the person who hires a laborer, fully utilizes their work, but does not pay their wages. Scholarly consensus across all eras and regions affirms the permissibility of *Ijarah*.
