What is the liability of a fuller (qassar) who returns a garment to a person other than its rightful owner?

The fuller is liable for the garment if they return it to someone other than its owner because they have caused its loss to the rightful owner. Ahmad stated that the fuller must compensate for it. The recipient who knows the garment is not theirs must not wear it and must return it to the fuller, demanding their own garment from the fuller.
