Is the maintenance (support/provision) for a hired worker (Ajir) waived if the worker provides his own food or is unable to eat due to illness?

The worker's maintenance (Nafaqah) is not waived if the worker becomes self-sufficient by bringing his own food or provision, or if he becomes unable to eat due to sickness or another reason. The worker retains the right to claim this provision because it is considered compensation (Aiwad), and compensation is not nullified by self-sufficiency, just like a Dirham (currency).
