Primary text
Hiring a draught animal for drawing water is permissible. It is mandatory to know the apparatus used for drawing—be it a water-skin (rawiya), bucket (qirba), or large skin (jarrar)—through sight or description. The work estimation must be by time, by the number of cycles, or by filling a defined container. If estimated by the number of cycles, the locations of drawing water from and delivering it to must be known due to variations in distance and terrain difficulty.

If the work is estimated by filling a container, knowledge of the container and the source of the water must be established.
