What recourse does the lessee have if the crop is destroyed but the land remains usable for another purpose or part of the remaining lease term?

Primary text
If the lessee can still benefit from the land without the crop, or benefit from the remaining crop during the rest of the term, he must do so. If this becomes impossible, the agreed-upon rent remains obligatory upon him because the impossibility is due to the failure of the planting season caused by an event not guaranteed by the lessor, and not due to a defect in the leased object itself.
