It is mandatory to specify what the animal is hired for, either for riding or for carrying a specified measure. The agreed-upon wage for each day is due, whether the animal is stationary or traveling, because the benefit has been used up during the stipulated period, similar to leasing a house, closing it, and not residing in it.

If a person hires themselves out to water palm trees, agreeing to one date, one fil (small coin), or an agreed-upon wage per bucket drawn, it is permissible based on the narration concerning this matter. Furthermore, every specified action with a specified compensation is permissible, similar to stipulating a known number of buckets.
