What is the basis for imposing restraint on the foolish person or minors regarding their wealth?

The primary basis for restraining these three categories is the command of Allah: "And do not give to the foolish your property which Allah has made a means of support for you" (Quran 4:5) and the subsequent verse. Saeed bin Jubayr and 'Ikrimah interpreted this as: Do not give the orphan's wealth to him while it is in your custody; rather, spend on him. The wealth is attributed to the guardians because they are the managers and administrators of it.
