Primary text
If the land is lent for planting wheat, the borrower may plant wheat or anything less damaging, such as barley, fava beans, or lentils. The borrower may also plant what causes damage equivalent to wheat, because consenting to planting one item implies consent to its damage and lesser damage. The borrower is prohibited from planting what is more damaging, such as maize (*dhurrah*), millet (*dukhn*), or cotton, because their damage exceeds that of wheat.
