What is the liability if parts of the borrowed item degrade due to a use not explicitly permitted?

If the parts degrade due to an unauthorized use, such as using a loaned garment to carry earth when only permission to wear it was given, the borrower is liable for the resulting depreciation in value and the loss of the permitted use (usufruct), because the loss occurred due to transgression (ta'addi).
